Abstract

Heats of sublimation for tin, dihydrogen, vanadyl, zinc, nickel, palladium, platinum, lead, molybdenum, copper, cobalt, and iron phthalocyanines are given. Decomposition of manganese phthalocyanine prevented a determination. Selected refractive indices are also reported and the trends in the heat of sublimation data are discussed in terms of the influence of the metal on the electron density of the peripheral nitrogens of the phthalocyanine ring and the associated intermolecular interactions.
