Nodule bacteria for two species of serradella – Ornithopus sativus and Orithopus compressus

Abstract

The effectiveness of several isolates of nodule bacteria was tested on two species of serradella Ornithopus sativus Brot. and O. compressus L. analysis based on green top weights showed isolate S3 to be superior to the other isolates tested and also to the lupin strain W72, which is the only commercially available strain suitable for inoculation of serradella.
