Flowchart showing the methods and results of predicting cervical cancer using prognostic model analysis.

Anoikis affects the development of cancer. In this study, an anoikis-related prognostic model for cervical cancer was constructed. It provides effective support for the assessment of prognostic risk and the selection of clinical treatment options for patients with cervical cancer. Figure by the authors.

Diagram showing how chemerin is hypothesised to act as a regulator of endometrial angiogenesis in pregnant pigs.

New vessel formation in the endometrium is crucial for pregnancy establishment and maintenance. We found that chemerin, known for its involvement in regulating energy balance and immunological functions, may be an important regulator of endometrial angiogenesis. Chemerin in vitro regulates the secretion of key angiogenesis-related factors and their receptors’ protein abundance in this tissue during the oestrous cycle and early pregnancy. Illustrative photograph of aquaglyceroporin immunolabeling (AQP9 expression in corpus region of Iberian ibex epididymis)

This work describes the lining epithelium and expression patterns of aquaglyceroporins (AQP3, AQP7, AQP9 and AQP10) in the Iberian ibex, mouflon and chamois epididymis. Species-specific differences in cauda epididymal sperm cryoresistance were confirmed. Differences among the three wild ruminant epididymides in the relative number of epithelial cell types and the immunolocalisation of AQP7 and AQP10 appear to affect the cryoresistance of cauda epididymal spermatozoa.
