Thermodynamic functions of ionization of the Anilinum and Toluidinium Ions

Abstract

The application of the spectrophotometric method to the measurement, over a range of temperature, of the thermodynamic acidity constants of ions of the anilinium type is described. The thermodynamic functions of ionization ΔG₂₅, ΔH₂₅, ΔS₂₅, and ΔCp,₂₅ of the anilinium ion and the three toluidinium ions are given and compared with those of previous determinations.
