Carbonyl halides of the Group VII transition metals. III. Carbonyl halide complexes of rhenium(I)

Abstract

A new series of carbonyl halide complexes of rhenium(I) has been prepared. The complexes, which have the empirical formula Re(CO)₃X (X = Cl, Br, I), are prepared by thermal decomposition of the corresponding halide complexes, Re(CO)₅X.
