Acronycine-synthetic studies

Abstract

Nordihydroacronycine, which can readily be converted into acronycine, was obtained in very low yield by methylation of the crude product of condensation of 2,2-dimethylchroman-5,7-diol and anthranilic acid, the main product being the linear isomer of the desired compound.
