Fernando Henrique de Souza Gama graduated in Technology of Natural Product Chemistry (2008) from the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio de Janeiro, completed his M.Sc. in Chemistry at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, and has begun his D.Sc. in Chemistry at the same university under the supervision of Professor Simon J. Garden. His research interests focus on the development of new synthetic one-pot methodologies and the synthesis of 1,3-dicarbonyl derivatives.
