A revision of Australian Pachyplagia gross (Heteroptera : Schizopteridae)

Abstract

Pachyplagia Gross is redefined; P. australia Gross, an inquiline, is redescribed; and P. sporadohylaea, sp, nov., P. acracantheis, sp. nov., P. spanohylaea, sp, nov., P. ombriohylaea, sp. nov., P. aremenohylaea, sp. nov. and also P. nesohylaea, sp. nov. are described. The species are keyed. The occurrence of Pachyplagia in Sulawesi is recorded. The male and unusual female terminalia are discussed.
