General Information

Marine & Freshwater Research welcomes the submission of papers presenting original and significant research in the aquatic sciences (see Scope). Papers are externally peer-reviewed, in consultation with our Editorial Board.

When preparing a paper for publication, please follow Journal style and layout as closely as possible. It may help if you consult a recent copy of the Journal or a sample issue online. Detailed guidelines are set out in the Instructions to Authors. Authors requiring English language assistance should enlist the aid of a specialised service or a colleague fluent in English at their home institution.

There are no page charges, except for reproduction of colour figures.

Submission of a paper is taken to mean that the content has not been published and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Conference abstracts and posters where the full data set is not presented and the interpretation of results is not developed would not normally be regarded as publications but if material has been widely disseminated in report form or on the web, please consult the Editor.

Reprints

Reprints can be ordered prior to publication. An order form is sent to the corresponding author with final page proofs.

CSIRO PUBLISHING supplies the corresponding authors with a free PDF of their paper upon publication and instructions about its copyright. All papers are also available from our website either by subscription or sale of individual papers.

Indexing/Abstracting

The journal is indexed/abstracted in a wide variety of databases.
